WINNER of the just concluded Digicel Rising Stars, Tash, escaped a robbery attempt at her home in Yallahs, St Thomas last night after quick action by the police foiled an attempt by hoodlums to break in.
The Yallahs Police have confirmed that a group of men were seen lurking in a neighbour's yard and attempted to break into her home after casing out the scene. Alert residents noticed the strange movements of the men and called the police who quickly responded.

Upon the arrival of the cops, the men hightailed it out of the area in different directions.
Tash, whose real name is Chantal Lamont, was reportedly at home with a female relative at the time of the incident and is said to be badly shaken.
She was awarded a cash prize of $1 million for winning the popular talent contest.
